After a defensive mix-up in GAIS's zone, Gytis Saudargis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wlodzimierz Cipinski came out of the goal and Gytis Saudargis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rudolf Nordstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Jakue to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vaclovas Kėbla got free with Wlodzimierz Cipinski in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rudolf Nordstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chong Talon having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, ђỉģђωấų ţŏ ђęſſ's Vaclovas Kėbla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wlodzimierz Cipinski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute Rudolf Nordstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chong Talon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wlodzimierz Cipinski was a little too slow when Vaclovas Kėbla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 0-2. ђỉģђωấų ţŏ ђęſſ made a substitution. Freddie Metz replaced Ruben Huot. If Vaclovas Kėbla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wlodzimierz Cipinski made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Vaclovas Kėbla sent off a good shot on target. Freddie Metz's late challenge caught a GAIS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddie Metz helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 minutes of play, ђỉģђωấų ţŏ ђęſſ's Vaclovas Kėbla made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wlodzimierz Cipinski was left in no man's land by his defense there! 78 minutes into the match, GAIS's goal looked a bit too open when Vaclovas Kėbla came free, but Wlodzimierz Cipinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rudolf Nordstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GAIS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Sümer Ömürcan scored to the left of an out of position Wlodzimierz Cipinski, making the score, 0-4. The crowd rose to their feet as ђỉģђωấų ţŏ ђęſſ's Sümer Ömürcan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wlodzimierz Cipinski. That made the score 0-5 after 88 minutes of play. Konrad Josefsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chong Talon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Wlodzimierz Cipinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sümer Ömürcan in the 95th minute of the match.
