Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Unai Sócrates started the match with the kick off. Unai Sócrates might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vítor Baia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Unai Sócrates ran back to his position shaking his head. If Guido Vissenaeken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Baia came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Fauna Utd's Unai Sócrates. But to his dismay, Unai Sócrates quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fauna Utd's Radamel Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Vissenaeken in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ümit Karan to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Unai Sócrates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jaspar Van Den Broeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guido Vissenaeken to make the kick off. The throw-in from Dieter Uyttebroeck in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Fauna Utd's Octav Zdraşcu. Guido Vissenaeken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Vissenaeken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Radamel Hendrickx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Unai Sócrates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Unai Sócrates came free, but Vítor Baia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Baia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Unai Sócrates, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Dieter Uyttebroeck in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Fauna Utd's Octav Zdraşcu. 76 minutes into the game, Herbert Pietrowicz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Fauna Utd's Karel Cromefeldt quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Unai Sócrates's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Baia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Fauna Utd were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Brugge United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 董文鹰 took the corner. A nice corner shot did that 董文鹰 got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vítor Baia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Vítor Baia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harry Maguire in the 91st minute. After 94 minutes, Laurențiu Roşculeţ mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brugge United and the Fauna Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Laurențiu Roşculeţ kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. A long shot from Karel Cromefeldt in the 96th minute of play was well struck, but Vítor Baia made a really good save at the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fauna Utd eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
