Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Slaghmeulders in the 7th minute of the match. Vítor Baia came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Haithabu FC's Kurt Slaghmeulders. But to his dismay, Kurt Slaghmeulders quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Torres in the 11th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Haithabu FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Torres. 14 minutes into the match, Laurențiu Roşculeţ dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabian Söderström, 1-1. In the 18th minute, Simon Blomquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Guido Vissenaeken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Fabian Söderström made a huge save. Vítor Baia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Astigar in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramzi Drouart got free with Vítor Baia in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 92 minutes into the match, Haithabu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnauld Van Impe came free, but Fabian Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabian Söderström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2.
