The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stig-Arne Deckberg during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as AnÐaRaHy's Maurício Bittencourt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Safet Hands. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. 31 minutes into the match, AnÐaRaHy's goal looked a bit too open when Måns Sandberg came free, but Bruno Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AnÐaRaHy's Bruno Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Lebron in the 37th minute of play. Manfredo Sarmento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Safet Hands made a huge save. In the 43rd minute of the match AnÐaRaHy got a corner. Norrlands Athen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sílvio Vides ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Adrian Sundström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Norrlands Athen's Safet Hands did a great save. With splendid footwork Adrian Sundström arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 44th minute. Bruno Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Lebron in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

53 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Sarmento came free, but Safet Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Lebron in the 55th minute of play forced AnÐaRaHy's goalkeeper Bruno Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. That made the score 2-2 in the 79 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo Sarmento in the 84th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, AnÐaRaHy's goal looked a bit too open when Filcho Slivkov came free, but Bruno Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, AnÐaRaHy's Bruno Cruz got control of the ball when Gilbert Hermansson tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. Norrlands Athen's Juan Lebron started the play with his kick off. Norrlands Athen's Filcho Slivkov got a good chance for a goal in the 120th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juan Lebron kicked well hit freekick during the 126th minute of the match. Bruno Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calle Bergfelt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes of extra-time there was still no winner. The players now faced the much dreaded penalty shoot-out.

AnÐaRaHy:s Safet Hands showed great skill when he stopped Juan Lebron:s penalty. Juan Lebron's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Bruno Cruz on his right side and into the goal. 136 minutes into the game it was 3-3. The referee gave AnÐaRaHy a penalty, 143 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Noble Dodge, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Norrlands Athen's Safet Hands. 4-5. After 145 played minutes Jacinto da Silveira shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for AnÐaRaHy's Bruno Cruz to catch but Jacinto da Silveira was lucky. It became 4-6 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Norrlands Athen eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
