The referee ignored Pajala Sunrise's protests and gave David Lindman a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of AFC United booed when Pajala Sunrise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Lindman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Balesio Leiva was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Börje Axelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Frasco Esquivel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, AFC United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilen Tejada to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Doug Las Casas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cholachat Coolcat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustaquio Vesga in the 21st minute. If Ekialde Balsera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A throw-in in the 39th minute of the game was made by Archibaldo Ahumada with Roegelio Moyua as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Eustaquio Vesga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Cholachat Coolcat made a huge save. During the 46th minute of the match David Lindman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave David Lindman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 46 played minutes Pajala Sunrise got a freekick which was hit by David Lindman. Pajala Sunrise made a substitution. Per-Arne Svartengren replaced Doug Las Casas. A collision led to Pajala Sunrise getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. David Lindman hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Balesio Leiva got free with Cholachat Coolcat in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Cholachat Coolcat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ekialde Balsera went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 58th minute Ekialde Balsera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cholachat Coolcat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Pajala Sunrise getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ingvar Lindqvist hit a great ball. Ekialde Balsera might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cholachat Coolcat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ekialde Balsera ran back to his position shaking his head. Frasco Esquivel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 王 江志锋 in the 61st minute of the match. Cholachat Coolcat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector-Luis Conllas, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pirro Pereta in the 66th minute of play forced Pajala Sunrise's goalkeeper Cholachat Coolcat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pajala Sunrise's Johannes Friberger was substituted for 王 江志锋. Pajala Sunrise's Stefan Lindholm was substituted for Sebastian Tolsson.
