Cacá Munhoz came out and tried to block the shot, but Clodoveo Filipo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Abelardo Lawrence kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cacá Munhoz. That made the score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. Marco Pudes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Munhoz having to interfere. El retorno del Pincha's Edelmiro Peruxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Furlan in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Marco Pudes made a precise shot to the right of Cacá Munhoz. RWD Molenbeek's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Diego Furlan scored 3-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edelmiro Peruxu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abelardo Lawrence took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cacá Munhoz. Cacá Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Cacá Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Lawrence in the 38th minute of play. When El retorno del Pincha's Abelardo Lawrence in 40 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Cacá Munhoz guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 48 minutes into the match, El retorno del Pincha's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Perez came free, but Edelmiro Peruxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diego Furlan to strike the kick off in the second half. RWD Molenbeek were furious when Valdo Fernandez was red carded, 52 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for El retorno del Pincha. Abelardo Lawrence stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cacá Munhoz. 5-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abelardo Lawrence in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cacá Munhoz saved RWD Molenbeek from getting behind. Marco Pudes took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cacá Munhoz. Cacá Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. If Edmundo Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 minutes, Adan Blanco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El retorno del Pincha and the RWD Molenbeek players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th minute, Adan Blanco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Lawrence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 73rd match minute, RWD Molenbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. Abelardo Lawrence struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Cacá Munhoz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El retorno del Pincha. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abelardo Lawrence in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cacá Munhoz saved RWD Molenbeek from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abelardo Lawrence in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cacá Munhoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79thth minute of the game Abelardo Lawrence who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RWD Molenbeek's Cacá Munhoz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Francisco Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Abelardo Lawrence hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmundo Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The supporters of RWD Molenbeek booed when El retorno del Pincha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Ezkerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cacá Munhoz came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by El retorno del Pincha's Abelardo Lawrence. But to his dismay, Abelardo Lawrence quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1.
