Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sumalao FC's Miguel Refugio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Morteros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Odilon to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Sumalao FC's Miguel Refugio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Santo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rolando Sedeni didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Morteros's Isauro Sota shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Marco Santo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisito Leizarraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Odilon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Sedeni having to interfere. Hermengildo Iruinea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th match minute, Sumalao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Abajas to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Hermengildo Iruinea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Sedeni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Isauro Sota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morteros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isauro Sota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isauro Sota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Rolando Sedeni made a huge save. Sumalao FC's Rolando Sedeni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Iruinea in the 37th minute of play. Marco Santo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Refugio, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Zygmunt Koprowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sumalao FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morteros the free kick. After 48 played minutes Sumalao FC got a freekick which was hit by Zygmunt Koprowski. A hard shot by Samuel Frichoso from long distance, 49 minutes into the match, got Rolando Sedeni's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isauro Sota stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Luisito Leizarraga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sumalao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisito Leizarraga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 54 minutes into the game, Morteros's Isauro Sota nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Sedeni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. If Evaristo Odilon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 61st match minute, Morteros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isauro Sota to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Hermengildo Iruinea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morteros's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermengildo Iruinea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Sedeni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jessop Salah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermengildo Iruinea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Santo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Refugio in the 79th minute of the match. When Jessop Salah came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Sumalao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jessop Salah couldn't finish the play. Sumalao FC's Rolando Sedeni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Iruinea in the 85th minute of play. After 86 minutes Sumalao FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuel Frichoso who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Samuel Frichoso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Sedeni quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rolando Sedeni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Iruinea, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Rolando Sedeni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isauro Sota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Morteros fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sumalao FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
