An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Refugio in the 4th minute of play forced AM United's goalkeeper David Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Pessoa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Sedeni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, AM United's goalkeeper David Bastos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jessop Salah. In the 14th minute, Nikos Christou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Teodoro Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Sedeni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 played minutes AM United got a freekick which was hit by Pierre-Olivier Ortiz. 28 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Jessop Salah came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Sedeni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Pessoa went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd match minute, Sumalao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Garin to maneuver through the defense. Zygmunt Koprowski charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Miguel Refugio succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 41st playminute. Jessop Salah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodoro Freire struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Rolando Sedeni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AM United. After 48 minutes, Teodoro Freire made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Sumalao FC's Rolando Sedeni tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Refugio made a kick off. David Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Leizarraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute Miguel Refugio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Teodoro Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 60 minutes into the match, Sumalao FC's goalkeeper Rolando Sedeni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodoro Freire. Samuel Garin charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The crowd rose to their feet as AM United's Teodoro Freire slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Sedeni. That made the score 1-4 after 71 minutes of play. David Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Refugio in the 74th minute of play. Rolando Sedeni came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by AM United's Teodoro Freire. But to his dismay, Teodoro Freire quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. David Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Refugio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as AM United's Angelo Pessoa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Sedeni. That made the score 1-6 after 96 minutes of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AM United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
