Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Teodoro Freire made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Freire in the 3rd minute of play forced Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Dušan Ančic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Spike Foley, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After 10 minutes AM United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Harry Carson who took care of the corner kick. After 14 played minutes AM United got a freekick which was hit by Nikos Christou. After 18 played minutes Club Atlético de Newell got a freekick which was hit by William Dunning. With a little luck, AM United's David Bastos got control of the ball when Hugo Alexandersen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, AM United's Jiang got a free kick in the 27th minute. AM United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sebastian Percival 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 36 minutes into the match, Hugo Alexandersen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Bastos. AM United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Alexandersen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Hugo Alexandersen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but David Bastos made a huge save. 2-1 came in the 42nd minute when Angelo Pessoa all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Dušan Ančic.

In the 50th match minute, AM United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre-Olivier Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Percival came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Teodoro Freire kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dušan Ančic. That made the score 2-2 in the 60 minute of play. In the 63rd minute, AM United's Angelo Pessoa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dušan Ančic. Dušan Ančic yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Dušan Ančic was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nikos Christou. The supporters of AM United booed when Club Atlético de Newell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Cordearo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adelino Palma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Percival in the 69th minute of play. With a little luck, Club Atlético de Newell's Dušan Ančic got control of the ball when Teodoro Freire tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Percival in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Bastos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 83 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Percival came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Dušan Ančic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Hugo Alexandersen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Teodoro Freire left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AM United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. When the final whistle went the supporters of AM United were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Club Atlético de Newell side.
