With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Luís Ceresso in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bartolo Beliran saved MARTINETA from getting behind. After 6 played minutes MARTINETA got a freekick which was hit by Nacho Roca. After some careless play in the MARTINETA defense, Sílvio Luís Ceresso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bartolo Beliran. The MARTINETA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bartolo Beliran should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Cesaro in the 15th minute of play forced Pinhote FC's goalkeeper Joacim First to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Pinhote FC booed when MARTINETA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafal Kaszubowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. MARTINETA were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Pinhote FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lv Qiang Xiao took the corner. Waldemar Rosen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Beliran having to interfere. Pinhote FC's Joacim First played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Cesaro in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th match minute, MARTINETA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafal Kaszubowski to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, MARTINETA's Carlos Cesaro got a free kick in the 44th minute. Bartolo Beliran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Luís Ceresso's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Cesaro to make the kick off. MARTINETA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Loco Martin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Loco Martin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bartolo Beliran quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Joacim First took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Severino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Lv Qiang Xiao left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MARTINETA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The MARTINETA players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
