After a defensive mix-up in Comira AFC's zone, Jimmy Örtendal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ercüment Sayman came out of the goal and Jimmy Örtendal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute Jozef Van Emelen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Matanza and Steelers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nikolaj Lenin was slow to take the kick. During this time Comira AFC's players had a chance to rest. Renan Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emenon Leyva in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Jimmy Örtendal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Renan Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jozef Van Emelen's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Jozef Van Emelen sped through Matanza and Steelers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Renan Mendes. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulrico Herzog to make the kick off. Jimmy Örtendal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ercüment Sayman having to interfere.
