Nico Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 14th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Téo Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agua Santa's supporters rose to their feet, but Téo Tróia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. C.'s Horácio Pereira, in the 26th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for SORRISO E. C.. Alan Moreira took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Douglas Viana. Douglas Viana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 35th minute, Lúcio Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomé Mota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo da Rocha's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. SORRISO E. C. were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Agua Santa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yan Penha took the corner. After taking down the ball on SORRISO E. C.'s corner Yan Penha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tomé Mota quite easily take care of the ball. After 40 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Couto. Agua Santa's Emanuel Vianna suffered a concussion in the 43rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Alberto Mendonça hit a great ball. In the 48th match minute, Agua Santa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Quintal to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Pinho was the one to do the kick off. Douglas Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Pinho in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Nico Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nico Quintal hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Tomé Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo da Rocha in the 64th minute of play. Lúcio Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 74th minute of the match, Alfredo da Rocha tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tomé Mota saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when Agua Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléberson do Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo da Rocha. C. got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Arantes. After having played for 93 minutes, Téo Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agua Santa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Téo Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Pereira to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the SORRISO E. C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Agua Santa.
