The attack was good, but when Belmiro Sanches in the 17th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Olívio Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Olívio Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Sanches in the 21st minute of the match. EDI MZB's Belmiro Sanches managed to work through Los Bacanas FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Belmiro Sanches dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Afonso Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Belmiro Sanches's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olívio Arruda was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 34th match minute, EDI MZB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telmo Bueno to maneuver through the defense. Olívio Arruda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Belmiro Sanches went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 47th minute Claudinei Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half EDI MZB were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Hortêncio Passos made the kick off in the second half. Los Bacanas FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Claudinei Albuquerque scored to the left of an out of position Olívio Arruda, making the score, 0-5. In the 57th minute, Los Bacanas FC's Afonso Rodrigues seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Afonso Rodrigues the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Los Bacanas FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Afonso Rodrigues had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Los Bacanas FC! The referee gave EDI MZB a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hortêncio Passos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Los Bacanas FC's Olívio Arruda. 0-6. 62 minutes into the game, EDI MZB's Claudinei Albuquerque nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olívio Arruda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. With an all-out effort, EDI MZB's Olívio Arruda threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Telmo Bueno, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hortêncio Passos got free with Olívio Arruda in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Los Bacanas FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sidnei Fernandez 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-8. 76 minutes into the match, Los Bacanas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Passos came free, but Olívio Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 played minutes Los Bacanas FC got a freekick which was hit by Reginaldo Esteves. 80 minutes into the match, Los Bacanas FC's goalkeeper Olívio Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hortêncio Passos. With a little luck, Los Bacanas FC's Olívio Arruda got control of the ball when Claudinei Albuquerque tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded EDI MZB left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Los Bacanas FC.
