In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind SCs StarS's goalkeeper Petr Čech, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Thiago Gol reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Orlando Rivera. The goal made the score 1-0. Tiémoué Bakayoko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petr Čech read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Petr Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Gotzon, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Thiago Gol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orlando Rivera having to make a save. Orlando Rivera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Gol in the 58th minute of play. In the 74thth minute of the game Justino Gotzon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SCs StarS's Petr Čech was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jordy Dirks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, Todos al Fondo's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Gol came free, but Orlando Rivera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Henk Zijden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SCs StarS made a substitution. Kelvin Dekkers replaced Luka Ramos. SCs StarS made a substitution.
