The audience thought a goal was coming when Dávid Fekete got free with Gavino Luke in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Attila Kossuth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ildefonso Ortle's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. A collision led to Gaviotas FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Godfredo Quinteros hit a great ball. Benjámin Vermes hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Godfredo Quinteros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Attila Kossuth was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Attila Kossuth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Quinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Gaviotas FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Dávid Fekete made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Domingo Quinto made a precise shot to the right of Attila Kossuth. Nagyváradi AC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Krisztián Magyar's late challenge caught a Gaviotas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Krisztián Magyar helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gaviotas FC booed when Nagyváradi AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krisztián Magyar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ildefonso Ortle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gaviotas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ildefonso Ortle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Attila Kossuth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaviotas FC's Rodolfo Ursino was substituted for Godfredo Quinteros. Gavino Luke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dávid Fekete in the 67th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Gaviotas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dávid Fekete came free, but Gavino Luke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gábor Kásás charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gábor Kásás the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Renátó Marton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The Gaviotas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The Gaviotas FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gaviotas FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
