Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Georges Ravat started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Pietras came free, but Jérémy Coutier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Georges Ravat did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Radomil Smolarek 4 minutes into the match. Le Stade Briochin UC's Jérémy Coutier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbyszek Gregorczyk in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Freddy Blond notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FC Zarzyk's Radomil Smolarek. Radomil Smolarek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Georges Ravat had several of the FC Zarzyk's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Radomil Smolarek as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some careless play in the FC Zarzyk defense, Georges Ravat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radomil Smolarek. The FC Zarzyk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radomil Smolarek should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Le Stade Briochin UC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Herbert Dugas hit a great ball. Jérémy Coutier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dariusz Hryc in the 25th minute of the match. Radomil Smolarek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Blond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Le Stade Briochin UC booed when FC Zarzyk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedykt Zielinski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Zarzyk's zone, Freddy Blond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radomil Smolarek came out of the goal and Freddy Blond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Georges Ravat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Radomil Smolarek made a huge save. Georges Ravat who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Radomil Smolarek when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Georges Ravat in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radomil Smolarek prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dariusz Hryc to make the kick off. Josselin Schillinger kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Le Stade Briochin UC made a substitution. Bernard Grancher replaced Ahmed Isidore. After 64 minutes of play, Le Stade Briochin UC's Freddy Blond made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Radomil Smolarek was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of FC Zarzyk booed when Le Stade Briochin UC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thierry Fouassier didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Igor Pietras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Zbyszek Gregorczyk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jérémy Coutier. Le Stade Briochin UC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zbyszek Gregorczyk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. In the 88th minute, Freddy Blond left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Le Stade Briochin UC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. After 92 played minutes FC Zarzyk got a freekick which was hit by Dariusz Hryc. 95 minutes into the game, Bernard Grancher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Le Stade Briochin UC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Zarzyk the free kick. After a rather tough play, Le Stade Briochin UC's Bernard Grancher got a free kick in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Zarzyk players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Le Stade Briochin UC.
