Rodriguinho Viana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Jon Ekgren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rodriguinho Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the last second Jon Ekgren throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rodriguinho Viana in the 13thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. A collision led to Botafogo MZRJ getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Rodriguinho Viana hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the game, Rodriguinho Viana recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jon Ekgren. Rodriguinho Viana showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After some careless play in the Farsta BK defense, Rodriguinho Viana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jon Ekgren. The Farsta BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jon Ekgren should have stopped the shot. Jon Ekgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jon Ekgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodriguinho Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Rodriguinho Viana in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jon Ekgren, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luís Paulo Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon Ekgren having to interfere. Jon Ekgren came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Botafogo MZRJ's Rodriguinho Viana. But to his dismay, Rodriguinho Viana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The attack was good, but when Rodriguinho Viana in the 46th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 47th minute, Botafogo MZRJ's Rodriguinho Viana dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mark Billock made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Pedro Paulo Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Jon Ekgren. Farsta BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. 60 minutes into the game, Botafogo MZRJ's Rodriguinho Viana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jon Ekgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Luiz Gustavo Simão charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Gustavo Simão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Juvenal Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Farsta BK's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguinho Viana came free, but Jon Ekgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Farsta BK's Jon Ekgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo Severo in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Farsta BK's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguinho Viana came free, but Jon Ekgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodriguinho Viana in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jon Ekgren saved Farsta BK from getting behind. In the 86thth minute of the game Rodriguinho Viana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Farsta BK's Jon Ekgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rodriguinho Viana scored 8-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jon Ekgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Viana in the 93rd minute of play forced Farsta BK's goalkeeper Jon Ekgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97thth minute of the game Rodriguinho Viana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Farsta BK's Jon Ekgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Botafogo MZRJ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Durvalino Paranaense in the 98th minute. The corner led to Botafogo MZRJ's Luís Paulo Severo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When the referee ended the match the Botafogo MZRJ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
