In the 4thth minute of the game Rodriguinho Viana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pracusiowie's Maciej Milko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulo de Amorim was extremely unlucky when he, in the 5th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Viana in the 8th minute of play forced Pracusiowie's goalkeeper Maciej Milko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodriguinho Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maciej Milko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodriguinho Viana ran back to his position shaking his head. Maciej Milko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodriguinho Viana's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Tanek Pisarczyk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pracusiowie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Botafogo MZRJ the free kick. Tanek Pisarczyk hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Botafogo MZRJ's Rodriguinho Viana saw an opening behind the goalie Maciej Milko in the 15thth minute and tried to shoot past into the top right corner, but with great reflexes Maciej Milko with one arm managed to save the shot in the last secound. Maciej Milko was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Paulo de Amorim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulo de Amorim really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Marco Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanek Pisarczyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Paulo de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st match minute, Botafogo MZRJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renan Santana to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Botafogo MZRJ's Durvalino Paranaense got a free kick in the 33rd minute. A hard shot 37 in the game by Rodriguinho Viana from a close distance when the talented Maciej Milko managed to make a qualified save. Pracusiowie's players were relieved. Waldir Maranhense was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Rodriguinho Viana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maciej Milko was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerzy Glaza was the one to do the kick off. Maciej Milko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodriguinho Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Botafogo MZRJ's Paulo de Amorim was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Maciej Milko in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 55 played minutes Botafogo MZRJ got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Correia. Maciej Milko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguinho Viana in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute Jerzy Glaza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilbert Kaznocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Marco Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Paulo de Amorim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Maciej Milko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Pracusiowie defense, Rodriguinho Viana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maciej Milko. The Pracusiowie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maciej Milko should have stopped the shot. When Antoni Jastrowicz fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pracusiowie's protests and gave Antoni Jastrowicz a yellow card for diving instead. Maciej Milko came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Botafogo MZRJ's Rodriguinho Viana. But to his dismay, Rodriguinho Viana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Maciej Milko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodriguinho Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodriguinho Viana in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maciej Milko saved Pracusiowie from getting behind. In the 95th minute Paulo de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maciej Milko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Botafogo MZRJ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
