Geovanni Linhares's late challenge caught a Club Deportivo Norte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Deportivo Norte! In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Belo Academy. Douglas Ferraz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jorge Obeko. 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vágner Sergipano was the one to do the kick off. Esteban Gonchan fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 53rd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot.
