Mayhem Sharks's Narciso Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Penha Athletico Club getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Breno Marinho hit a great ball. Narciso Dias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hortêncio Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Wellington de Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Fernando Tróia in the 11th minute. Osvaldo da Mata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Narciso Dias made a precise shot to the right of Hortêncio Figueiredo. Penha Athletico Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Dias in the 23rd minute of play forced Penha Athletico Club's goalkeeper Hortêncio Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 played minutes Penha Athletico Club got a freekick which was hit by Breno Marinho. In the 26th minute, Jailson Rossi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hortêncio Figueiredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Narciso Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hortêncio Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Narciso Dias in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hortêncio Figueiredo saved Penha Athletico Club from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Dias in the 35th minute of play forced Penha Athletico Club's goalkeeper Hortêncio Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Narciso Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Mayhem Sharks's Wellington de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Moreno in the 51st minute of play. Narciso Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Dias got free with Hortêncio Figueiredo in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Carlos Fernando Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute, Narciso Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 66 minutes, Narciso Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mayhem Sharks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narciso Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mayhem Sharks's Narciso Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Fachtna Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mayhem Sharks's Nikola Radošević was substituted for Ian de Castro. In the 77th match minute, Mayhem Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fachtna Duggan to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Mayhem Sharks's Arcadio Valdés got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 84th minute Cristian Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Penha Athletico Club's Hortêncio Figueiredo got control of the ball when Narciso Dias tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Mayhem Sharks could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Penha Athletico Club throughout the match.
