In the 40th minute of the match Sergius Ramus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan-Åke Emander skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Sportivo Luan Toro booed when The Owls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Furdui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Fidencio hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ubarna Harroyo to make the kick off. Ubarna Harroyo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Robert Davison made a huge save. Sportivo Luan Toro's Robert Davison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubarna Harroyo in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute Ubarna Harroyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Davison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Sportivo Luan Toro's goal looked a bit too open when Ubarna Harroyo came free, but Robert Davison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, The Owls's Cristian Furdui got a free kick in the 56th minute. Jan-Åke Emander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Roland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Gino Galante could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Robert Davison however easily saved by the left post. With his leg Robert Davison managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when The Owls's Gino Galante fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 85th minute, Jo Barone left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo Luan Toro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 87th minute Jo Barone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Åke Emander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Åke Emander came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Luan Toro's Jo Barone. But to his dismay, Jo Barone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1.
