The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mayhem Sharks's Marcelo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz Cabral in the 3rd minute of play. After having played for 5 minutes, Rony Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mayhem Sharks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rony Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Aesir FC FSCMZ's zone, Rony Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerson Viana came out of the goal and Rony Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelo Alves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but André Luiz Cabral showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Mayhem Sharks's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz Cabral came free, but Marcelo Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Alves was a little too slow when Nilmar Mendes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 26th match minute, Mayhem Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guto Neto to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Frédson da Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st minute, Aesir FC FSCMZ's André Luiz Cabral dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. After some careless play in the Mayhem Sharks defense, André Luiz Cabral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Alves. The Mayhem Sharks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Alves should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Aesir FC FSCMZ booed when Mayhem Sharks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Aesir FC FSCMZ getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. André Luiz Cabral hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, André Luiz Cabral took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Marcelo Alves to make any attempt to save it. 47 minutes into the game, Nilmar Mendes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelo Alves. Nilmar Mendes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rony Meira to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Alves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Luiz Cabral went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. After 68 played minutes Mayhem Sharks got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Neto. After a rather tough play, Mayhem Sharks's Ton Torres got a free kick in the 70th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Neto during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adilson Perez made in the 76th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ton Torres immediately put the ball in play. 78 minutes into the match, Mayhem Sharks's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz Cabral came free, but Marcelo Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Luiz Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mayhem Sharks's Marcelo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eurico Britto in the 91st minute of play.
