Pedrão Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Eger having to interfere. After some careless play in the Belo Academy defense, Silvério Netto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Eger. The Belo Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Augusto Eger should have stopped the shot. Frederico de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Sergipano in the 9th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match, Vágner Sergipano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Frederico de Salles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Barbie Doll United U23's Frederico de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Linhares in the 10th minute of play. Frederico de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Sergipano in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Felippe Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute of the match Isaltino Medeiros shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Augusto Eger showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Barbie Doll United U23 booed when Belo Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vágner Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Augusto Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Nelsinho Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barbie Doll United U23's protests and gave Nelsinho Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barbie Doll United U23 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Frederico de Salles, was totally fooled by Belo Academy's Felippe Guerra, who 24 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Waldemar de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Adhemar Munhoz fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belo Academy's protests and gave Adhemar Munhoz a yellow card for diving instead. Adhemar Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Silvério Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Waldemar de Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barbie Doll United U23's Frederico de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Linhares in the 44th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Augusto Eger came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Barbie Doll United U23's Alan Gaúcho. But to his dismay, Alan Gaúcho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Carlos Augusto Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Belo Academy's zone, Waldemar de Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Augusto Eger came out of the goal and Waldemar de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Belo Academy getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Teodoro Reis hit a great ball. Pedrão Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Eger having to interfere. Alan Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Carlos Augusto Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Alan Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barbie Doll United U23's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Augusto Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the match, Vágner Sergipano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frederico de Salles. Barbie Doll United U23's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vágner Sergipano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Alan Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geovanni Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Domingues in the 84th minute of play forced Belo Academy's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Augusto Eger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedrão Arce showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 88 minute of play. If Alan Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Belo Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Arce came free, but Carlos Augusto Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Belo Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Silva came free, but Carlos Augusto Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Barbie Doll United U23 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Belo Academy throughout the match.
