But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Colon Averasturi couldn't finish the play. Zandarin FC's Rogério Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Montay Villatreses in the 5th minute of play. With a little luck, Zandarin FC's Rogério Paraense got control of the ball when Teodosio Villacanes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute Montay Villatreses shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Colon Averasturi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Colon Averasturi lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Rogério Paraense. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, Zandarin FC's goalkeeper Rogério Paraense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radu Bleoancă. Radu Bleoancă scored 2-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rogério Paraense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Colon Averasturi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rogério Paraense, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Colon Averasturi made a kick off. Rogério Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Bleoancă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 52nd play minutes Colon Averasturi shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Rogério Paraense and just under the crossbar into goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Colon Averasturi in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogério Paraense saved Zandarin FC from getting behind. In the 57th minute Montay Villatreses shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Zandarin FC's Gláuber de Amorim got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The audience was convinced that Radu Bleoancă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogério Paraense was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute, Pedrinho Donatello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zandarin FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. In the 95th minute Colon Averasturi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of MANIACOS booed when Zandarin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball.
