Mendoza Joseph took the ball and in the 2 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mieszko Karanowski. Mieszko Karanowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gomez Berrahondo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. When Murillo do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Marzagão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murillo do Valle couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Murillo do Valle notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga. Oso Amezaga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 27th minute, Rodrigo Caborredondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oso Amezaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murillo do Valle in the 31st minute of the match. Mieszko Karanowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mendoza Joseph in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. GUAYACO's zone, Pedro Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oso Amezaga came out of the goal and Pedro Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oso Amezaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murillo do Valle in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Mendoza Joseph shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mieszko Karanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Mendoza Joseph managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. GUAYACO's supporters rose to their feet, but Mendoza Joseph was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mieszko Karanowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Toledo in the 45th minute of play forced C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Freitas's late challenge caught a Marzagão's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Freitas. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Toledo to strike the kick off in the second half. Oso Amezaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 minutes, Gomez Berrahondo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. GUAYACO and the Marzagão players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oso Amezaga had in the 56thth minute some difficulties stopping Murillo do Valle's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a little luck, C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga got control of the ball when Murillo do Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oso Amezaga made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Domingos Santiago sent off a good shot on target. Marzagão's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseu Fantini in the 66th minute. The corner ended in Eliseu Fantini almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.A. GUAYACO's Oso Amezaga did a great save. C.A. GUAYACO made a substitution. Caicedo Berrondo replaced Mendoza Joseph. Marzagão made a substitution. Jânio Faria replaced Cezar Martins. In the 74th minute, Jorge Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. GUAYACO's zone, Pedro Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oso Amezaga came out of the goal and Pedro Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Agustin Pillado managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. GUAYACO's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustin Pillado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mieszko Karanowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oso Amezaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Santiago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Marzagão booed when C.A. GUAYACO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Rechani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. GUAYACO's zone, Pedro Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oso Amezaga came out of the goal and Pedro Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Pedro Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oso Amezaga. C.A. GUAYACO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Jânio Faria hit a great ball. In the 89th match minute, C.A. GUAYACO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan-Pablo Dorrial to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Marzagão's Pedro Toledo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Oso Amezaga. Oso Amezaga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 97th minute Pedro Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oso Amezaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 99th minute, Pedro Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marzagão's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
