But to his dismay, Flavio Cifuentes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mervaleta FC's Leo Nesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Cifuentes in the 20th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Flavio Cifuentes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leo Nesto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Taltum FC's Marcelo Cavenaghi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Santo Herensuge in the 32 minute of the game. Leo Nesto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavio Cifuentes's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dario Quexal got free with Zhang Hao Qing in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute, Flavio Cifuentes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavio Cifuentes might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Nesto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flavio Cifuentes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th minute Flavio Cifuentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Nesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, one of Taltum FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 47 minutes, Mervaleta FC's Teobaldo Ponce got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Zhang Hao Qing. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Justino Erruki to strike the kick off in the second half. Flavio Cifuentes might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Nesto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flavio Cifuentes ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Leo Nesto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Flavio Cifuentes struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Leo Nesto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taltum FC. After a defensive mix-up in Mervaleta FC's zone, Flavio Cifuentes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Nesto came out of the goal and Flavio Cifuentes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio Cifuentes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Nesto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Leo Nesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Obregón Pardemanos in the 65th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Obregón Pardemanos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leo Nesto. That made the score 2-3 in the 70 minute of play. Zhang Hao Qing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Javiero, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Obregón Pardemanos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Leo Nesto made a huge save. 80 minutes into the match, Taltum FC's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Erruki came free, but Zhang Hao Qing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Obregón Pardemanos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Nesto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Mervaleta FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Obregón Pardemanos scored to the left of an out of position Leo Nesto, making the score, 2-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Obregón Pardemanos got free with Leo Nesto in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leo Nesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Espinosa Marco in the 96th minute of the match. Taltum FC's Obregón Pardemanos got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Taltum FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
