The referee ignored Club Atlético Atlanta's protests and gave Anselmo Nevada a yellow card for diving instead. Anselmo Nevada kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Atlanta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cido Araújo was slow to take the kick. During this time Alpachiri AFC's players had a chance to rest. Mugur Chiriac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Shantala having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Mugur Chiriac put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Roman Shantala. After 24 played minutes Alpachiri AFC got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Ramone. Emil Chwalkiewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Patricio Bartolome managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alpachiri AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Bartolome was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pankracy Glogowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, Alpachiri AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Chiriac came free, but Roman Shantala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Alpachiri AFC's Roman Shantala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Nevada in the 52nd minute of play. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Txilar in the 55th minute of play. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Txilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Goicoechea in the 62nd minute of play forced Alpachiri AFC's goalkeeper Roman Shantala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Alpachiri AFC defense, Alfonso Goicoechea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roman Shantala. The Alpachiri AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Shantala should have stopped the shot. Club Atlético Atlanta made a substitution. Benigno Abreu replaced Remigio Erramu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santiago Txilar in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pankracy Glogowski saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, Alpachiri AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Chiriac came free, but Roman Shantala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cido Araújo charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cido Araújo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patricio Bartolome who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Pankracy Glogowski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 78 played minutes Alpachiri AFC got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Txilar. Roman Shantala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Goicoechea's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Benigno Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Txilar in the 84th minute of play. Patricio Bartolomes short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Pankracy Glogowski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Santiago Txilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Santiago Txilar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santiago Txilar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 95 minutes into the match, Alpachiri AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Chiriac came free, but Roman Shantala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético Atlanta's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
