Tano Sampler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 minutes Chanchos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teobaldo Ponce who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Justino Erruki heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Tommy Gun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Nesto having to interfere. In the 27th minute Rafael Martxot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Nesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Nesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Martxot in the 27th minute of play. Simon Ribeiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Justino Erruki showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Mervaleta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobaldo Ponce to maneuver through the defense. When Rafael Martxot came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Chanchos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Martxot couldn't finish the play. Teobaldo Ponce hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes, Chanchos's Tommy Gun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leo Nesto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chanchos reached it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justino Erruki to make the kick off. Tommy Gun's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leo Nesto firmly grabbed it by the left post. Leo Nesto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Concetto Mascitti's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute of the match Mervaleta FC got a corner. Chanchos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Teobaldo Ponce ran over to the corner to take the kick. Teobaldo Ponce made a great header on Mervaleta FC's corner, it was just that Chanchos's Simon Ribeiro managed to reach the ball for a save. After 62 played minutes Chanchos got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Martxot. Simon Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Erruki in the 66th minute of the match. Mervaleta FC's Leo Nesto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Mervaleta FC from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute Justino Erruki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Nesto came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Chanchos's Rafael Martxot. But to his dismay, Rafael Martxot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Leo Nesto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Concetto Mascitti went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Mervaleta FC's Dario Quexal got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teobaldo Ponce's late challenge caught a Chanchos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teobaldo Ponce helped the player get up and apologised. Teobaldo Ponce hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Tommy Gun could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Leo Nesto however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciro Eladio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leo Nesto. That made the score 1-3 in the 86 minute of play. When Jonatan Burutzagi fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chanchos's protests and gave Jonatan Burutzagi a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Chanchos got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Burutzagi. Leo Nesto made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Tommy Gun sent off a good shot on target. Leo Nesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Mascitti in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chanchos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
