The audience thought a goal was coming when Rigoberto Bastiaro got free with Candido Piedra in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Altermundi FC's Candido Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tzvetan Mudrov in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Nicholas Urria got a free kick in the 8th minute. Ivar Bjurström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Visen Allu in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Altermundi FC were awarded a corner. Recai Taykurt went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Sergiu Zgrăbunţa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ivar Bjurström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Visen Allu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivar Bjurström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Visen Allu in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivar Bjurström saved Glorioso Deportivo Cali from getting behind. Visen Allu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivar Bjurström having to make a save. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Altermundi FC! Candido Piedra had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Jacindo Baezabal's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Altermundi FC defense, Jacindo Baezabal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Candido Piedra. The Altermundi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Candido Piedra should have stopped the shot. After 26 minutes of play, Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Bartosz Wicherek made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Candido Piedra was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute, Visen Allu made a precise shot to the right of Ivar Bjurström. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Candido Piedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tzvetan Mudrov in the 34th minute of play. Candido Piedra made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Tzvetan Mudrov sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute, Bartosz Wicherek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Altermundi FC's Candido Piedra got control of the ball when Rigoberto Bastiaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rigoberto Bastiaro made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Altermundi FC's Visen Allu got a free kick in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Bastiaro in the 52nd minute of play forced Altermundi FC's goalkeeper Candido Piedra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Altermundi FC's Candido Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Bastiaro in the 55th minute of play. Ivar Bjurström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Visen Allu in the 60th minute. Altermundi FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Altermundi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Visen Allu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 72 played minutes Altermundi FC got a freekick which was hit by Justo Zubicueta. Altermundi FC made a substitution. Gerónimo Molina replaced Visen Allu. The supporters of Glorioso Deportivo Cali booed when Altermundi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Zubicueta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Candido Piedra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartosz Wicherek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Candido Piedra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tzvetan Mudrov in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Glorioso Deportivo Cali's goalkeeper Ivar Bjurström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerónimo Molina. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
