Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Ervigio Ojeda made the kick off and thus started the match. Francisco Barrionuevo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tirso Isasaga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Ervigio Ojeda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisco Barrionuevo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tirso Isasaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Dani Hernández didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ervigio Ojeda went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 15th minute, Ervigio Ojeda made a precise shot to the right of Dani Hernández. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Dani Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio-Paul Pirinchev, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Dani Hernández made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ervigio Ojeda in the 24th minute of play. Chile's Francisco Barrionuevo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. After 31 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Juan Ramírez. In the 34th minute, Ervigio Ojeda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dani Hernández was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Dani Hernández took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ervigio Ojeda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Ervigio Ojeda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. 42 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ervigio Ojeda came free, but Dani Hernández reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match, Tirso Isasaga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Francisco Barrionuevo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Juan Fernando Pratto made the kick off in the second half. Ervigio Ojeda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 89th minute Carlo Darrigrande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Hernández saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Barrionuevo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peruanton Tamayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 3-4 when Peruanton Tamayo sped through Chile's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Francisco Barrionuevo. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
