Edmílson Cearense's late challenge caught a Salto AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmílson Cearense helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Spartacus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Cearense to maneuver through the defense. Ruben Pirro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Anibal Fix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Róbert Ábrahám hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adalberto Barral acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Anacleto Duardo. Salto AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Luís Paranaense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pedro Luís Paranaense charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Luís Paranaense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Spartacus FC's Pedro Luís Paranaense got a free kick in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 宋荣延 made a kick off. Salto AFC's Anibal Fix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Salto AFC from getting a goal against them. If Edmílson Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luís Paranaense was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Marcell Tokodys short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Anibal Fix to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 59 minutes into the game, Ruben Pirro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salto AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spartacus FC the free kick. 60 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Paranaense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anibal Fix. Pedro Luís Paranaense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 宋荣延 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 宋荣延's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anibal Fix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Spartacus FC were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Salto AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 任海希 took the corner. 任海希 made a great header on Spartacus FC's corner, it was just that Salto AFC's Anibal Fix managed to reach the ball for a save. Marcell Tokody sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Salto AFC booed when Spartacus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmílson Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Fix was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 88 minutes into the game, Spartacus FC's 宋荣延 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anibal Fix made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Anibal Fix made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when 宋荣延 sent off a good shot on target. Spartacus FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
