In the 12th minute Hugo Große shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Gene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jürgen Benedikt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jaime Gene made a huge save. The supporters of Phönix Kickers booed when REUS NILOGA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesús Puyol didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Große to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Fermín Vazquez threw the ball into play from the sideline. Phönix Kickers's Dave Bleich quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 89 minutes of play, Phönix Kickers's Hugo Große made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaime Gene was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 95 minutes, Hugo Große managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phönix Kickers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Große was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Phönix Kickers players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
