The supporters of Vreshtas booed when Qarabağ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salman Eyyubov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hidayät Äläkbärov came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Vreshtas's Skerdi Behrami. But to his dismay, Skerdi Behrami quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Qarabağ's Hidayät Äläkbärov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Skerdi Behrami in the 14th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Qarabağ's goal looked a bit too open when Sotir Rama came free, but Hidayät Äläkbärov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Sotir Rama got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salman Eyyubov's late challenge caught a Vreshtas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mehran Nağiyev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mujo Xhaja got free with Hidayät Äläkbärov in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Zülfüqar Behbudov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Qarabağ's supporters rose to their feet, but Zülfüqar Behbudov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Refik Fero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mehran Nağiyev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute of the match, Mujo Xhaja got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hidayät Äläkbärov was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hidayät Äläkbärov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sotir Rama in the 73rd minute of the match. Hidayät Äläkbärov made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Genad Hidi sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Mujo Xhaja kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hidayät Äläkbärov. That made the score 0-5 in the 78 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genad Hidi in the 81st minute of play forced Qarabağ's goalkeeper Hidayät Äläkbärov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mujo Xhaja got free with Hidayät Äläkbärov in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vreshtas played a much better game than Qarabağ and deserved their victory. The Qarabağ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
