An unexpectedly hard shot by Birol Adal in the 32nd minute of play forced Petro de Luanda's goalkeeper David Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, Petro de Luanda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Canales to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Birol Adal made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toni Caetano in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Korkutalp Pınar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Birol Adal managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC BlackRow's supporters rose to their feet, but Birol Adal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Sampaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute Lopo Carvoeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korkutalp Pınar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
