In the 2nd minute Ruben Pirro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quinn McBjarton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Fix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pearson McLian, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. With his leg Anibal Fix managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Limerick AFC's Baiscend Frankson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Salto AFC's Anibal Fix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aubrey Robinson in the 7th minute of play. After 8 minutes of play, Salto AFC's Amancio Cambranes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Quinn McBjarton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anacleto Duardo's late challenge caught a Limerick AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anacleto Duardo helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Salto AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anacleto Duardo. Baiscend Frankson took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anibal Fix. Anibal Fix dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Bernabe Garaona kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Ruben Pirro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Quinn McBjarton having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Pirro in the 32nd minute of play forced Limerick AFC's goalkeeper Quinn McBjarton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quinn McBjarton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Dimo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Limerick AFC's Quinn McBjarton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Pirro in the 37th minute of play. Quinn McBjarton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Cambranes in the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Salto AFC's goalkeeper Anibal Fix, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 44 played minutes Salto AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Tonete. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Pirro in the 46th minute of play forced Limerick AFC's goalkeeper Quinn McBjarton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Amancio Cambranes made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Salto AFC's Ruben Pirro got a free kick in the 57th minute. Severo Jordy might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Quinn McBjarton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severo Jordy ran back to his position shaking his head. Amancio Cambranes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Quinn McBjarton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salto AFC's Ruben Pirro got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Ruben Pirro off the ground. A collision led to Salto AFC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ruben Pirro hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Amancio Cambranes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salto AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Aubrey Robinson hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Anibal Fix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baiscend Frankson, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Baiscend Frankson scored 3-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anibal Fix, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anibal Fix didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baiscend Frankson went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. If Severo Jordy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, Limerick AFC could leave the field as winners, despite Salto AFC having more of the ball for most of the match.
