Nils Schikaneder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lopo Carvoeiro in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jürgen Benedikt in the 8th minute of play forced Petro de Luanda's goalkeeper David Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes of play, Phönix Kickers's Jürgen Benedikt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Sampaio was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Thomas Bahlau put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of David Sampaio. The audience was convinced that Hugo Große's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Sampaio was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. 29 minutes into the match, Petro de Luanda's goal looked a bit too open when Jürgen Benedikt came free, but David Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Große to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Phönix Kickers's Viktor Baumbach slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Sampaio. That made the score 2-6 after 64 minutes of play. David Sampaio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jürgen Benedikt in the 67th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Hugo Große managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phönix Kickers's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Große was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Sampaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Quim Pedrosa hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Petro de Luanda's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jürgen Benedikt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Petro de Luanda's zone, Jürgen Benedikt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Sampaio came out of the goal and Jürgen Benedikt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Petro de Luanda booed when Phönix Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorck Binder didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Toni Caetano notched a goal, 3-6, to the right of Phönix Kickers's Nils Schikaneder. Nils Schikaneder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Quim Pedrosa came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Petro de Luanda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quim Pedrosa couldn't finish the play. Nils Schikaneder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lopo Carvoeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Phönix Kickers played a much better game than Petro de Luanda and deserved their victory. The Petro de Luanda players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
