In the 13th minute Lopo Carvoeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bora Petkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes Petro de Luanda got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Maurito. In the 20th play minute Andon Slavev came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised David Sampaio. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Cecchi Gori FC's zone, Toni Caetano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bora Petkov came out of the goal and Toni Caetano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Cecchi Gori FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Nenad Kitanovski hit a great ball. In the 28th minute Lopo Carvoeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bora Petkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Miguel Canales ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bora Petkov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Quim Pedrosa scored 1-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bora Petkov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Miguel Canales's late challenge caught a Cecchi Gori FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Canales helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Nenad Kitanovski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Cecchi Gori FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Petro de Luanda were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lopo Carvoeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bora Petkov didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 51st minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. Petro de Luanda's David Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andon Slavev in the 54th minute of play. Bora Petkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lopo Carvoeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toni Caetano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Bora Petkov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bora Petkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lopo Carvoeiro in the 90th minute of play. If Toni Caetano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cecchi Gori FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Petro de Luanda were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
