When Geraldo Siqueira fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SRL FC's protests and gave Geraldo Siqueira a yellow card for diving instead. A hard shot 6 in the game by Mehran Nağiyev from a close distance when the talented Acácio Dionísio managed to make a qualified save. SRL FC's players were relieved. The supporters of SRL FC booed when Qarabağ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yaşıldadur Sultanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hidayät Äläkbärov came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by SRL FC's Amauri Amaral. But to his dismay, Amauri Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Acácio Dionísio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehran Nağiyev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amauri Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Hidayät Äläkbärov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Qarabağ's Mämmäd Ämrahov got a free kick in the 21st minute. Hidayät Äläkbärov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marquinhos Veiga's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The supporters of SRL FC booed when Qarabağ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zülfüqar Behbudov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zülfüqar Behbudov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Qarabağ's Mämmäd Ämrahov got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 48 minutes in the game, Yaqub Ağankäri fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Acácio Dionísio having to interfere. The Qarabağ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SRL FC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marquinhos Veiga to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Qarabağ's goalkeeper Hidayät Äläkbärov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marquinhos Veiga. In the 56th minute, Marquinhos Veiga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hidayät Äläkbärov. The goal made the score 0-3. After 59 played minutes Qarabağ got a freekick which was hit by Mämmäd Ämrahov. SRL FC's Igor Macedo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Qusif Mehdiyev fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Mehran Nağiyev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Dionísio having to interfere. Zülfüqar Behbudov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Acácio Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Zülfüqar Behbudov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amauri Amaral got free with Hidayät Äläkbärov in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
