When Ruben Pirro came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Salto AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruben Pirro couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amancio Cambranes in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaime Gene prevented the ball from getting in the gole. REUS NILOGA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Severo Jordy scored to the left of an out of position Jaime Gene, making the score, 1-0. Sandro Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Tonete having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Ruben Pirro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Salto AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Benet Saez came free, but Gregorio Tonete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesús Puyol hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Amancio Cambranes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Jaime Gene made a huge save. Jaime Gene was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Amancio Cambranes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amancio Cambranes really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After 24 played minutes Amancio Cambranes rounded REUS NILOGA's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. REUS NILOGA's Jaime Gene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amancio Cambranes in the 27th minute of play. After 28 minutes REUS NILOGA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bernabe Garaona who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Feliciano Dimo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind REUS NILOGA's goalkeeper Jaime Gene, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benet Saez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Tonete having to interfere. Jaime Gene was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Adrian Viviano. After 44 played minutes REUS NILOGA got a freekick which was hit by Guido Font. Benet Saez kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
A collision led to Salto AFC getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Feliciano Dimo hit a great ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Sandro Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. REUS NILOGA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Gene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Cambranes in the 62nd minute of the match. Sandro Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After taking down the ball on Salto AFC's corner Eduardo Lauro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jaime Gene quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Salto AFC's Adrian Viviano got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Benet Saez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Tonete having to interfere. Severo Jordy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Gene read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Severo Jordy scored 4-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Gene, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Salto AFC's goalkeeper Gregorio Tonete had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benet Saez. Salto AFC's Gregorio Tonete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Santos in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Aliecer Buenafuente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the game, Salto AFC's Severo Jordy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jaime Gene made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Amancio Cambranes took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaime Gene. Jaime Gene dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. There was no doubt that Salto AFC were the better team. Salto AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
