The supporters of Phönix Kickers booed when Salto AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Duardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Phönix Kickers defense, Feliciano Dimo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils Schikaneder. The Phönix Kickers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils Schikaneder should have stopped the shot. If Hugo Große had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jürgen Benedikt got free with Jonathan Socorro in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Jonathan Socorro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Große stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anacleto Duardo kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. When Jürgen Benedikt came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Phönix Kickers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jürgen Benedikt couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Amancio Cambranes sped through Phönix Kickers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nils Schikaneder.
