Yaqub Ağankäri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 9 played minutes JAGIELLONIA got a freekick which was hit by Boguslaw Fleischer. If Yaqub Ağankäri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Mämmäd Ämrahov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Qarabağ's Hidayät Äläkbärov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Pryputnicki in the 14th minute of play. Hidayät Äläkbärov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcin Zacharzewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 18 minutes, Zülfüqar Behbudov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Qarabağ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zülfüqar Behbudov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mehran Nağiyev got free with Witomir Witkowski in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zülfüqar Behbudov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Witomir Witkowski having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Qarabağ's Mehran Nağiyev slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Witomir Witkowski. After a defensive mix-up in JAGIELLONIA's zone, Mehran Nağiyev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Witomir Witkowski came out of the goal and Mehran Nağiyev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, JAGIELLONIA's goal looked a bit too open when Mehran Nağiyev came free, but Witomir Witkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hidayät Äläkbärov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Pryputnicki in the 77th minute of the match. The Qarabağ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
