In the 13thth minute of the game Dasep Arkananta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's Efraín Zercalde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilfredo Heli made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Leonard Kalemba sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the LIRA ELBLĄG SSA defense, Liu Cheng Kang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Efraín Zercalde. The LIRA ELBLĄG SSA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Efraín Zercalde should have stopped the shot. Wilfredo Heli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bogdan Nazaria in the 24th minute. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Dasep Arkananta put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Efraín Zercalde. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dasep Arkananta in the 30th minute of play forced LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's goalkeeper Efraín Zercalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilfredo Heli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Montenegro in the 37th minute of play. With an all-out effort, LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's Wilfredo Heli threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Daniel Montenegro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 45 minutes into the match, Daniel Montenegro notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Real Unión CF's Wilfredo Heli. Wilfredo Heli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Leonardo Isadore came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Real Unión CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Isadore couldn't finish the play. LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's Segundo Abecia got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dasep Arkananta in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Efraín Zercalde saved LIRA ELBLĄG SSA from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Isadore got free with Efraín Zercalde in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 77 minutes, Cebo Segura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Unión CF and the LIRA ELBLĄG SSA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Unión CF's Cebo Segura got a free kick in the 78th minute. Real Unión CF made a substitution. Karl-Magnus Torsberg replaced Sandalio Urquiaga. Segundo Abecia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilfredo Heli having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dasep Arkananta in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Efraín Zercalde saved LIRA ELBLĄG SSA from getting behind. Daniel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Real Unión CF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
