Efraín Zercalde was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the match, LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Kang Han Zhen came free, but Efraín Zercalde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Segundo Abecia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Fidel Teofilio made a huge save. Kang Han Zhen might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Efraín Zercalde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kang Han Zhen ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to &La vieja Guardia& getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Kang Han Zhen hit a great ball. Fidel Teofilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Montenegro in the 27th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kang Han Zhen in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Efraín Zercalde saved LIRA ELBLĄG SSA from getting behind. 32 minutes into the game, Augusto Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. &La vieja Guardia&'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LIRA ELBLĄG SSA the free kick. After a rather tough play, &La vieja Guardia&'s Augusto Fernandes got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind &La vieja Guardia&'s goalkeeper Fidel Teofilio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Efraín Zercalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kang Han Zhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Segundo Abecia notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of &La vieja Guardia&'s Fidel Teofilio. Fidel Teofilio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 44 minutes of play, &La vieja Guardia&'s Kang Han Zhen made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Segundo Abecia was the one to do the kick off. Efraín Zercalde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kang Han Zhen in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Abecia in the 55th minute of play forced &La vieja Guardia&'s goalkeeper Fidel Teofilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Efraín Zercalde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kang Han Zhen's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 60thth minute of the game Kang Han Zhen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's Efraín Zercalde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kang Han Zhen in the 62nd minute of play forced LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's goalkeeper Efraín Zercalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. &La vieja Guardia&'s Agnaldo Albuquerque was substituted for Alvaro Arotza. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edelmiro Tartalo was slow to take the kick. During this time &La vieja Guardia&'s players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Edelmiro Tartalo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Efraín Zercalde quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Conrado Bartolome's late challenge caught a LIRA ELBLĄG SSA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conrado Bartolome helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, &La vieja Guardia&'s Conrado Bartolome got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The supporters of &La vieja Guardia& booed when LIRA ELBLĄG SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Abecia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind &La vieja Guardia&'s goalkeeper Fidel Teofilio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 80 played minutes &La vieja Guardia& got a freekick which was hit by Mao Yang. Fidel Teofilio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Abecia, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After some careless play in the &La vieja Guardia& defense, Segundo Abecia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fidel Teofilio. The &La vieja Guardia& fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fidel Teofilio should have stopped the shot. If Pelayo Contratas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pelayo Contratas struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Efraín Zercalde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for &La vieja Guardia&. After a defensive mix-up in &La vieja Guardia&'s zone, Segundo Abecia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fidel Teofilio came out of the goal and Segundo Abecia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The &La vieja Guardia& players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
