Xencio Millan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efrain Roldan in the 38th minute of the match. Xencio Millan made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Severino Edwardo sent off a good shot on target. After 44 played minutes Cardiff City FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Coutinho. Xencio Millan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Tonete, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Jairo Ler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Efrain Roldan was the one to do the kick off. Xencio Millan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severino Edwardo went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Julian Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute Julian Efraim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Ulizes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes CERPA got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Tonete. Julian Efraim took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvestre Ulizes. Silvestre Ulizes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 63rd match minute, Cardiff City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Gaskon to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Celestino Gau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Cardiff City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Edwardo came free, but Xencio Millan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Severino Edwardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xencio Millan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match CERPA got a corner. Cardiff City FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Natalio Kusko ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Natalio Kusko almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cardiff City FC's Xencio Millan did a great save. Julian Efraim was extremely unlucky when he, in the 84th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
