Lyon 69ers's Guy Durant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Karakevych in the 3rd minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Ground Control's goalkeeper Fabien Nunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anatol Hönes. Anton Karakevych sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Anton Karakevych had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Karakevych blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guy Durant having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Frédéric Courtial's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guy Durant was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Karakevych in the 22nd minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Guy Durant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Karakevych in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guy Durant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 29 minutes, Frédéric Courtial managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ground Control's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frédéric Courtial was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Frédéric Courtial hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anton Karakevych blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guy Durant having to make a save. After 43 minutes Ground Control's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Slaveyko Grúbchev who took care of the corner kick. Slaveyko Grúbchev made a great header on Lyon 69ers's corner, it was just that Ground Control's Fabien Nunes managed to reach the ball for a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 75th minute, Anatol Hönes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Ground Control's goal looked a bit too open when Anatol Hönes came free, but Fabien Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guy Durant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Karakevych, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Guy Durant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frédéric Courtial, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Batiste Lassalle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute Anatol Hönes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lyon 69ers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ground Control had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
