The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Misael Sigaran in the 4th minute of play. Nery Pumpido made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Misael Sigaran sent off a good shot on target. Kalle Österberg hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. When GuateFortín's Zico Zellier in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ★ Lobos FC ★'s goalie prevented a goal. Lorien Blanco made in the 13th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Felíx Felix. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. Svante Valrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 16th minute of the match. Raphaël Varane kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Svante Valrot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Svante Valrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Alvarenga in the 20th minute of play. After some careless play in the GuateFortín defense, Kalle Österberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nery Pumpido. The GuateFortín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nery Pumpido should have stopped the shot. Nery Pumpido made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Kalle Österberg sent off a good shot on target. Svante Valrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zico Zellier in the 28th minute of the match. Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kalle Österberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the last second Nery Pumpido throw himself and got hold of the ball when Haroldo Alfonso in the 35thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 37th minute, Aleksander Prus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haroldo Alfonso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kalle Österberg in the 52nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zico Zellier got free with Svante Valrot in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Sven-Edvin Jansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. GuateFortín's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Edvin Jansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Svante Valrot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of ★ Lobos FC ★ booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thierry Henry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Svante Valrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zico Zellier in the 60th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Zico Zellier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GuateFortín fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Svante Valrot had great luck who in the 63rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Sven-Edvin Jansson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Alfonso in the 65th minute of play. Ivan Lozano hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When Misael Sigaran came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the ★ Lobos FC ★ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Misael Sigaran couldn't finish the play. Kalle Österberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Nery Pumpido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ★ Lobos FC ★ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of GuateFortín for a fine match.
