Rafael Delgado was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Lea Papá's players had a chance to rest. In the 8th minute Dário Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hong Qing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Donose, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ramon Gomez charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Gomez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Club Atlético Lea Papá booed when Club Deportivo Águila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Gomez didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Club Atlético Lea Papá made a substitution. Pablo Sánchez replaced Alvar Ponce. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Aldo-Pedro Poy was substituted for Anton Donose. 57 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Águila's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo-Pedro Poy came free, but Gustavo Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo-Pedro Poy scored 4-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Guimarães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 66 played minutes Club Atlético Lea Papá got a freekick which was hit by Aldo-Pedro Poy. Hong Qing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Koppens in the 69th minute of play. Michal Jehlička sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Deportivo Águila made a substitution. Angel Velis replaced Ricky Koppens. Club Deportivo Águila's Ivan Viscarra was substituted for Herminio Florinio. A collision led to Club Deportivo Águila getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dong Hui Yue hit a great ball. Aldo-Pedro Poy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hong Qing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Viscarra in the 93rd minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Dong Hui Yue in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club Atlético Lea Papá's José Antonio Chamot. Gustavo Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo-Pedro Poy in the 96th minute of play. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Nahuel Molina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dong Hui Yue, made in the 98th minute of the game. Club Deportivo Águila's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
