Gabriel Chavez succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 11th playminute. 14 minutes into the match, Carmelo Sifon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Castillero. Flamengo de San Blás's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carmelo Sifon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Nicolás Guerrero kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Gabriel Chavez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Sílvio Luiz Goiano made a huge save. Leopoldo Noyola hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Madrid de Guatemala's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Goiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Flamengo de San Blás booed when Real Madrid de Guatemala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sasho Inkyov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Chavez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Sílvio Luiz Goiano made a huge save. In the 30th minute of the match Flamengo de San Blás got a corner. Real Madrid de Guatemala's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gheorghe Hagi ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Flamengo de San Blás's corner Gheorghe Hagi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sílvio Luiz Goiano quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Chavez got free with Sílvio Luiz Goiano in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carmelo Sifon during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid de Guatemala's Carmelo Sifon got a free kick in the 36th minute. A hard shot by Gheorghe Hagi from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Sílvio Luiz Goiano's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Flamengo de San Blás's Luis Castillero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Sifon in the 38th minute of play. Flamengo de San Blás's Gabriel Chavez got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tom-Lukas Queraria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Gheorghe Hagi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Real Madrid de Guatemala's Leopoldo Noyola seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leopoldo Noyola the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Real Madrid de Guatemala protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leopoldo Noyola had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid de Guatemala's Leopoldo Noyola got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute of the match Gheorghe Hagi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Luiz Goiano skillfully saved the ball. Sílvio Luiz Goiano came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo de San Blás's Gabriel Chavez. But to his dismay, Gabriel Chavez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Sílvio Luiz Goiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wiliam Lozano went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Luis Castillero had great luck who in the 74thth minute grab hold of the ball when Cristian Santamaria from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Real Madrid de Guatemala's Sílvio Luiz Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Chavez in the 79th minute of play. When Emiliano Anaya fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Madrid de Guatemala's protests and gave Emiliano Anaya a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute of the match Gheorghe Hagi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Luiz Goiano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sílvio Luiz Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Chavez in the 86th minute of play. Real Madrid de Guatemala's Sílvio Luiz Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam Lozano in the 89th minute of play. Luis Castillero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Santamaria, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Wiliam Lozano took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sílvio Luiz Goiano. Sílvio Luiz Goiano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Flamengo de San Blás had won after a very even match.
