With a little luck, El Canalla de Chicago's Bart Villanueva got control of the ball when Rocco Espinosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th minute Domingo Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Preston Esposito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO booed when El Canalla de Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bart Villanueva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rocco Espinosa's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Field in the 22nd minute of play forced El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Bart Villanueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Preston Esposito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Preston Esposito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Leobardo in the 29th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Jose Field managed to get in a good position for a shot. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Field was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bart Villanueva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Domingo Lopez made the kick off in the second half. Preston Esposito made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Raul Knox sent off a good shot on target. Preston Esposito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Leobardo got free with Preston Esposito in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marquis Hawthorne hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Armando Leobardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Preston Esposito having to interfere. El Canalla de Chicago made a substitution. Rudolf Pendleton replaced Daron Davidson. After 60 played minutes DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO got a freekick which was hit by Marquis Hawthorne. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goalkeeper Preston Esposito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Raul Knox scored to the left of an out of position Preston Esposito, making the score, 0-3. Preston Esposito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolf Pendleton in the 82nd minute of play. Curtis Daniel kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Preston Esposito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Lopez in the 89th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Rudolf Pendleton took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Preston Esposito to make any attempt to save it. Domingo Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Preston Esposito made a huge save. When DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Rocco Espinosa in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Canalla de Chicago's goalie prevented a goal. El Canalla de Chicago played a much better game than DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO and deserved their victory. The DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
