Wade Stacy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Yoshioka in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Yoshioka in the 21st minute of play forced Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Wade Stacy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Marquis Hawthorne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charlotte FC the free kick. Marquis Hawthorne hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Maurice Yoshioka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wade Stacy having to interfere. In the 30th minute Glen Hawk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wade Stacy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnathan Mohr hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Preston Esposito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Dobbs in the 36th minute of play. If Roger Dobbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zackary Urmanski kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruben Romano made a kick off. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Preston Esposito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Dobbs in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Lassiter to maneuver through the defense. Ruben Romano, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Yoshioka came free, but Wade Stacy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ruben Romano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Charlotte FC's Ruben Romano to fire away a dangerous shot which Preston Esposito despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 72 played minutes DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO got a freekick which was hit by Maurice Yoshioka. The supporters of Charlotte FC booed when DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Sheldon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wade Stacy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glen Hawk in the 77th minute of the match. Preston Esposito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Dobbs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pascal Sheldon came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascal Sheldon couldn't finish the play. The supporters of DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO booed when Charlotte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zackary Urmanski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 played minutes Charlotte FC got a freekick which was hit by Roger Dobbs. After having played for 91 minutes, Maurice Yoshioka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurice Yoshioka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Preston Esposito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bobby Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
